As a kid of the 80’s, growing up in watching UNC basketball, there’s a strong sense of pride knowing the biggest name in the game came from your State. And then Nike and Jordan had the brilliant idea of creating the Air Jordan. Everyone at school wanted to own a pair and when they produced the UNC blue and white version, it was the perfect match for us Carolina people! Hi Everyone, I’ve been on a little sabbatical lately, venturing into the world of crypto currencies. This tech is the future. One of my favorite Educators/YouTubers is Ben at BitBoy Crypto. I started following him late last year when he had around 169K and as of today the channel has 678K. Happy Birthday Sterling Marlin! This was a very special Marlin design that I helped create. I was invited to go down to Camp Boggy Creek in Florida and talk livery design with three of their special campers (Jake, Tori and Zachary). I discussed design theory and the three artist worked on designs. After the design session I took concepts from each of their drawings and fused them together to make a final design… including details like the little star character on the lower rear quarter and the pink poke-a-dots on the back bumper! This design ran in the Pepsi 400 on July 1st in @disupdates This was an amazing opportunity, and I consider this program a highlight in my career. Camp Boggy Creek was actually the inspiration for Victory Junction after Adam Petty invested time with the campers there. His dream became a reality in 2004. Bristol Motor Speedway night racing has become one of the biggest events in the NASCAR Series… and it’s really special to design a car with @bmsupdates lights in mind. I’m not sure when the first black-out/Neon car hit the track, but I would bet it was a Bristol event. The 1997 Bill Elliott Mac Tonight @mcdonalds #94 car is the earliest night-race car design I can think of (even though it wasn’t actually a black car). Post a comment below if you can think of one before Awesome Bill. My first Neon car came in 2007 when I designed this Checkers Midnight or Later livery. Here is that car on the 2020 ZL1 body… I’ll post the original design template later.
